A Message from CoHT ex-President Thomas “Swanny” Swan
It is my pleasure to announce that Mark Roster "Rooster" has been elected President of the COHT.
It has truly been an honor and privilege to serve as president of CoHT and I hope I'll be remembered fondly. I've certainly learned a lot during my tenure, met some of the most wonderful people in the world, and I've enjoyed some shining times.
I would like extend a very special thank you to the members of the Executive Board, the Board of Territorial Governors and to our State Chapter Representatives. Whether you are a current or past office holder, CoHT could not function without your good work. The fact that we are not currently facing major issues is a testament to the service you provide or have provided to our members and our organization. I'm going to miss receiving all of the State Chapter newsletters. A lot of great information is passed on to our members via the newsletters provided by our State reps.
I would also like to thank each of our members. When I first accepted the office I noted that CoHT is a member driven organization, and I asked that our members drive with an easy hand on the reins. Though I've been called to task from time to time when I deserved it or needed it, I can honestly say that the vast majority of our members have always been reasonable and courteous, even when the trail was rough and rocky. Those few who were less so quickly left the organization and are no longer an issue.
Though you may hear less from me, you can be assured that I'll still be around. My plans for the future are pretty simple, really. I've always held an office of one sort or another in CoHT, and I'm looking forward to holding the most important office of all, that of "Member". I'll toss some baggage and provisions onto the sledge, harness up my dogs and explore some trails. From time to time I'll write and tell you about it.
Meanwhile, please accept my compliments and best wishes that you and those you hold most dear are well. I remain,
Your Most Humble and Obedient of Servants
Swanny

As you may or may not know, we have dropped the “hard copy “ of the magazine. Financially, it was going to bust the organization. It was a hard decision to let it go, as it was finally a magazine that looked like it belonged to a national organization. It is now being posted on the membership part of our web site and it downloads easy! If you have members who do not have a computer, please let me know and I will get the word to Dan so he can mail out a printed version or a CD with it on. We want you to keep getting your publications! A direct link is provided on the front page of the Fellowship area at http://www.coht.org/fellowship/ |
