Greetings
to All,
Hope
all is well and going good with everyone, been rather hectic
around here but we are catching up and also healing up. This
will probably be a short newsletter as there is plenty to get
done in hopes of playing next weekend up at Woolaroc, look forward to seeing those that can make the
event.
The
new TTG is now available online on the Town Hall section of
the member’s message board. Apparently the COHT website
and affiliates are back on line and operating correctly, things
took a big do-do late last week.

WHAT’S
OLD, the Arkansas Treerat weekend,
didn’t get to participate in the entire weekend but very
much enjoyed time in the woods with some great people and one
noisy dog, don’t use the “S” word near Scout,
she goes nuts! Bryant and Mark found a very nice and remote
area, hope to attach a couple pictures from the hunt don’t
rely on my computer skills though. I have since heard from
Bryant that they are looking at scheduling later in the year
for the next one, the skeeters,
heat and foliage were a bit much.
The
cut off date for nominations to COHT President was the 15th of September, please check the member’s message board
for updates on this one.
well haven’t had many offers on the State Rep position,
might have to lower the price or throw in an extended warranty.
For those attending Woolaroc be
sure and bring your extra plunder as this is usually a well
sized camp with a decent amount of tourists.
OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES, today
is the opening day of archery deer and turkey seasons for those
wanting to fight the bugs. Deer muzzleloader opens in three
weeks on the 28th and runs thru November 5th,
please check the ODWC regulations regarding antlerless days
as they vary per hunting zones.
If
hunting from an elevated stand please remember a good quality
safety harness, Safety First.
BOOK
REVIEW, well have to admit to being somewhat behind on several
titles though I have given Empires Collide a very good once
over, also into the short rows of Langguth’s “Patriots”, have a couple passages
marked for the next edition as they will fit well with the
upcoming election.
In
closing, if anyone has something they would like to contribute
to the newsletter please forward it to me, the same goes for
materials submitted to the TTG staff as they are always in
need of information.
Until
the post rider reaches your homestead again, Take Care and
be Safe,
